The NHS and Public Health England (PHE) are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Call 111, stay indoors and avoid close contact with other people.

If you require urgent medical attention or advice outside of normal surgery hours please call the NHS111 Service. or call 0151 652 6077 from 10.00am until 6.00pm at weekends.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Grove Road Surgery offer extended hours appointments at Miriam Medical Centre. Should you require an appointment outside of core ours, you may be offered an appointment at Miriam Medical Centre Address: Birkenhead Medical Building, 31 Laird Street, Birkenhead, Merseyside, CH41 8DB (next door to Aldi)
Grove Road Surgery is a 'Hub' site for the Wirral GP Federation offering a session on Thursdays for pre-bookable appointments 6.30pm - 8.00pm (available for other surgery patients to use as well as our own patients) - not available during Covid-19 pandemic
Should you require an appointment to see a Doctor you may be offered a 'Hub' appointment at another surgery in the Wirral GP Federation of surgeries.
